Check every step, from copying the address to ending the session

Temporary email works best for clearly defined, short-term tasks. Follow the four stages—prepare, receive, read, and wrap up—to avoid mistyped addresses, expired verification codes, and accidental misuse with important accounts.

Before you start: make sure the task is right for a temporary email

Ask yourself whether you will need to recover the account, receive billing notices, or keep files after the address expires. If the answer is yes to any of these, use a permanent email address or a forwarding alias instead.

Low risk

No payments, identity documents, medical information, government services, or work permissions are involved.

Short term

You expect to finish during the current session or within a day, without relying on future notifications.

Easy to abandon

The address expiring will not cause financial loss or prevent account recovery.

Lightweight content

You mainly need to receive verification codes, confirmation links, and ordinary text notifications.

Stage 1: Generate and submit the address

The inbox is prepared automatically when you open the homepage. Copying the address is safer than typing it; check the full domain and remaining time before submitting it.

Step 1

Copy the address

Click the copy button and paste the complete address into the target service. Avoid character mix-ups caused by manual entry.

Step 2

Check the expiry

The default lifetime is 3 hours. If the task may take longer, extend it in advance by 3 hours at a time, up to a total of 24 hours.

Step 3

Submit only once

After the form confirms that sending succeeded, stay in the inbox and wait. Do not submit repeatedly from multiple tabs.

Step 4

Keep the page open

Your browser may try to restore an unexpired session, but keeping the page open until the task is complete is the safest option.

Stage 2: Wait and read

The workspace checks for new messages automatically, and you can also refresh manually. When the real email arrives, it replaces the demo message; the sender, subject, and time in the list provide the first clues.

Check the list first

Make sure the subject matches what you just did and that the sender domain has not been altered. Do not open unrelated messages.

Then read the message

Verification codes usually expire quickly, so use the latest message. Before opening a confirmation link, check its destination domain.

Refresh sparingly when delivery is delayed

Wait one or two minutes, then refresh manually once. Repeatedly requesting a new code may trigger rate limits and invalidate older codes.

Treat attachments with caution

Do not open files you did not request. Important deliverables should never be stored only in a temporary inbox.

Stage 3: Complete the task and wrap up

Entering the verification code does not necessarily finish the process. Confirm that the target service has completed verification, then decide whether to close the page or move the relationship to a stable address.

Use a better tool for long-term relationships

If a service will keep sending notifications, an independent forwarding alias makes the source easier to track and can be paused separately if harassment begins.

Start a short-term task

Return to the homepage workspace and copy the temporary address that is already prepared.

Maintain an ongoing connection

Use the verification code to log in to the dashboard and create a long-term alias that keeps your real email private.
