Temporary email works best when the task and its limits are clear. Here are answers to the timing, refresh, and security questions users ask most often.
How long can I use a temporary email?
A new address is valid for 3 hours by default. You can extend it by 3 hours at a time, up to 24 hours from creation. Once the countdown reaches zero, don’t rely on the address for important notifications.
Why hasn’t my verification code arrived?
The sender may be queueing, rate-limiting, or blocking temporary domains. Check that the address is complete, wait a minute or two, and refresh manually. If it still doesn’t arrive, return to the sender and request another message.
Will refreshing the page change my email address?
Not without a reason. Your browser saves the current session locally and restores the same address when it hasn’t expired and the service is available. A new mailbox is created only after expiration or when you click “Get a new address.”
Can I use it to register an important account?
We don’t recommend it. Accounts that need long-term recovery, billing notifications, identity verification, or asset management should use a stable email you control continuously, with multi-factor authentication enabled.
Does temporary email mean I’m completely anonymous?
No. It mainly reduces exposure of your real email address. It cannot hide your device, network, or information you submit in other forms. Continue to follow the service’s rules and applicable laws.
Will a temporary inbox keep attachments?
Temporary email isn’t intended for long-term attachment storage. If your task depends on important files, use a stable email instead. Very large messages may also be rejected, so don’t make a temporary address your only delivery channel.
